Temple Beth Torah’s goal is to provide quality religious instruction to all members of the Jewish community. We are proud of our Sunday morning program, our mid-week Hebrew instruction and our adult education programs.

Religious education for our children begins at pre-K and extends through Confirmation (usually grade 10). We strive to establish and solidify our children’s Jewish identity through a variety of experiences. Jewish holidays, customs, history and ritual are incorporated into the Sunday morning curriculum.

With a devoted and caring staff, our children gain a strong sense of the joy of being Jewish as they make friends while enjoying learning.

Hebrew language is an important component for all students and is an integral part of the Sunday morning program as well as the mid-week Hebrew program for older children. Our classes are taught by trained professionals as well as volunteer members of the community. The B’nai Mitvah program prepares our students for this significant chapter in their lives.

All B’nai Mitzvah candidates attend mid-week Hebrew school. Starting in the sixth grade, they begin special instruction in Hebrew, liturgy, and the meaning of their Torah portions.

Although the traditional age for Bar/Bat Mitzvah is 13, we encourage older students and adults who might have missed the opportunity to study at an earlier age to prepare for Bar/Bat Mitzvah with the support of our Congregation and our spiritual leader.

High school students prepare for Confirmation by studying with our spiritual leader. Learning is not only for the young.

The success of our adult education activities is a source of pride and satisfaction for Temple Beth Torah.
